Fewer steps isn't just faster: it's more reliable. A twelve-step process that could be six is twice as fragile.

Tune what's left, now without dead weight. Optimizing before eliminating is polishing what should have been removed.

The questions we ask of every step.

01Is this step necessary, or is it an artifact of the past?
02Can it be eliminated if something upstream changes?
